Remembering September 11, 2001
|
Its been five years now since the terrible events that shook our Nation. We have not forgotten! We saw a new spirit awaken in the aftermath of September 11th. That spirit has faded a bit, but not for those of us true Americans. We stand ready to defend our “One Nation Under God” and we welcome all those who are offended by this, to leave this “One Nation Under God!”
In honor of those who lost their lives on that Tuesday morning September 11th, let's say a prayer for each of them, and show that we'll never forget. Some were ordinary folks like you and me. Some were just children barely beginning to live. Some were hero's rushing headfirst into the most horrific scene imaginable, to try to save a life. Some everyday people became heroes that day. I can't imagine even one of us forgetting where we were and what we were doing when we learned of the attack on America.
Americans have not been so terrified as when the enemy came to our country. The enemy is still here and it is relentless in its efforts to remove our freedom of religion, the same freedom of religion that this great Country was founded on. If we can't stand up and pray in public without the fear of prosecution, if we can't use the word God in public schools, if we must remove parts of The Pledge of Allegiance, are we a free Nation? We have made welcome people from all over the globe to our great Country. Now these people want to change our Nation. They came here to this “One Nation Under God” and they can leave this “One Nation Under God” if they don't like our freedom to express our love for God and our appreciation for the blessings that He has bestowed upon us! I say its time to stand our ground and refuse to let them have their changes. Let them go where they find it more pleasant. Let them remain in their homeland where they are not allowed the freedom that they love so much about America! Let them bring about their own undoing, but don't let them take one more freedom from us! Speak English or learn a Native American language, but never force our children to learn to speak a language not native to this great Nation! If we decide we want to learn another language, let it be our choice. Never forget that English is not the first native language of this Country. It was inconceivable to all Native Americans, that a day would come and they would no longer speak their native language. Let us not repeat the mistakes made before us. This is America! We love it as it is and has been, “One Nation Under God!”
We can love and honor our troops without loving the war. It's time to show your respect and gratitude to our troops that fight to preserve our freedoms.
